Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 5/18/2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Decision Flip ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your trust. This Privacy Policy is designed to give you clear, transparent, and comprehensive information about how we handle your information when you use our mobile application and website.
We believe that your decisions, preferences, and private logs are personal to you. That is why our privacy philosophy is simple: we design our apps to function without collecting or storing your personal information on any external servers.
2. Zero Data Collection Philosophy
Decision Flip is an offline-first application. We do not collect, store, share, sell, or transmit any personal data, usage statistics, unique device IDs, or decision history to our servers or any third-party databases. Every action you take in the App remains strictly local to your device.
Specifically, we do not require or collect:
- Personal Identification: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account usernames.
- Account Creation: No sign-ups or profile setup required; you can use all features immediately upon download.
- Tracking or Analytics: No third-party SDKs, tracking pixels, or user behavior analytics suites (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Mixpanel) are integrated into our code.
- Cloud Synchronization: Your choices, custom wheels, history lists, and preferences are not uploaded to any cloud storage or external server.
3. Device Storage and the Decision Vault
When you use features like the "Vault" or save custom decision wheels and history, this data is saved exclusively on your device's internal sandbox storage (using standard mechanisms like SharedPreferences or local SQLite databases).
This storage is sandboxed at the operating system level, meaning other apps cannot access it under standard security configurations. Because we have no access to this local storage, we cannot view, modify, or recover your decision history for you.
4. Device Permissions
To deliver an interactive experience, the App requests basic system permissions. These are utilized solely to trigger local device features and never to collect or transmit data:
- Haptic Feedback / Vibration: Used to provide physical rumble sensations when spinning decision wheels, tossing coins, or selecting options.
- Notifications: If enabled, used exclusively to send local reminders or alerts. These are run entirely by the local OS scheduler, not by an external server.
5. Data Deletion and Control
You maintain full, absolute control over all your data. If you wish to delete your decision history, custom wheels, or app settings, you can do so in any of the following ways:
- Clear App Cache/Data: Go to your mobile device's system settings under Applications > Decision Flip > Storage, and click "Clear Data" or "Clear Cache".
- Uninstall the App: Removing the application from your device will automatically trigger the host operating system to permanently purge all associated sandbox files and local data.
6. Third-Party Services & App Stores
While Decision Flip does not connect to external servers, you download the App via third-party application stores such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. These platform operators may collect analytical data, crash logs, and device information under their own privacy frameworks. We advise you to review their respective privacy policies to understand their data handling practices.
7. Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, & COPPA)
We are dedicated to compliance with global data protection laws, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Because we collect zero personal data, your right to access, rectify, port, or erase your personal information is inherently secured. Your data is always in your possession and never leaves your device.
8. Children's Privacy
Our app is completely safe for children and users of all ages. We do not knowingly or unknowingly collect, process, or request personal data from children under the age of 13, in strict accordance with COPPA regulations.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our software, legal requirements, or best practices. Any updates will be published directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to check this page periodically for updates.
